Carolyn Mirabile Moderates Program for Doris Jonas Freed Inn of Court
Carolyn Mirabile moderated a program for the Doris Jonas Freed Inn of Court on April 4, that focused on parentage and paternity issues facing the Courts in same sex marriages and assisted reproduction cases. New standing issues for custody and financial responsibility in support demand a step away from traditional arguments to more persuasive factual based arguments. Traditional parentage and paternity arguments don’t always apply in same sex marriages. The role of adoption is also a significant factor which must be considered if you are not the biological parent in a same sex marriage. Pennsylvania law has a lot of catching up to do with today’s family law issues.
