Pennsylvania Divorce – By Consent or By One Year Separation
In Pennsylvania, a “No Fault” divorce can be obtained by one of two ways. Couples can be divorced by either both consenting to be divorced after 90 days of filing and accepting the initial paperwork, or, in the cases of a contested divorce, by bringing the case to court after one year of being separated. The law on separation has recently changed and some couples may actually have to be separated for two years. An experienced divorce attorney should be consulted to determine which no fault divorce you can obtain.
